How the SynCast Hybrid Setup Works in Real Time
When the CT1820, CT1292, and CT1278 are installed together, your room transforms into a unified collaboration hub. Instead of managing multiple apps, cables, and remotes, the entire environment operates in four simple steps:
CT1820 — Your Room's Universal Display Hub: The 4K WPS CT1820 sits at the center of the room, ready to receive content through native screen mirroring, the proprietary SynCast Tx app for Windows/macOS/Android, or a fully software-free connection via the 4K TypeC Transmitter CT1292.
One-Plug BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting): Walk into the room, open your laptop, and plug in the 4K TypeC Transmitter CT1292 — no software required. It gives you two things at once: instantly cast your laptop screen in 4K to the room’s main display via the CT1820, and wirelessly access the room’s professional conferencing USB webcam — typically mounted right at the display — so you can run your own meeting software (Zoom, Teams, Meet) using the room’s camera.
Room-Wide Local Broadcasting via SynRemote: Simultaneously, the Sharehub CT1278 takes whatever is being shown on the main display and wirelessly pushes it over the office Wi-Fi/LAN to up to 16 participant devices — tablets, laptops, or phones — via the SynRemote app, enabling paperless content distribution.
Bi-Directional Interactive Control: The system supports two-way touch and mouse control:
CT1820 USB Touchback — presenters can annotate directly on the room’s main interactive display, with touch input sent straight back to the laptop.
CT1278 HID (Mouse/Touch) Back-Control — participants can control the source device directly from their own tablet’s touchscreen, no extra hardware required.
Meanwhile, the built-in physical HDMI loop ensures the primary presenter's local screen stays 100% in sync with low latency.

2. Paperless Content Distribution via 1-to-16 SynRemote Broadcasting
In large meeting rooms, not everyone can clearly see the content on the main display — seating position, distance, or glare all get in the way. Paired with the Sharehub CT1278, everyone can receive the exact same content in sync directly on their own device, achieving true paperless distribution:
Remote attendees get pristine video/audio through the room's camera and mic array via CT1292 + CT1820.
In-room participants open the SynRemote app on their personal tablets, laptops, or phones to receive a live, crisp 1080p stream from the CT1278 over the local Wi-Fi network.
3. Multi-User Collaboration & Touchback Control
The CT1820 supports up to 64 standby connections and 4-way split-screen displays, allowing multiple team members to pitch ideas side-by-side on the main monitor without disconnecting the primary video call. Plus, with USB Touchback, presenters can control their laptop slides directly by touching the wall display.
4. HID (Mouse/Touch) Back-Control & Low-Latency Local Passthrough
The CT1278 enables dual USB HID back-control (mouse and touch) over the local network, letting presenters, instructors, or IT staff control the source device directly — from a tablet in the audience to a laptop across the room — across Windows, macOS, or Android, without walking up to the device.
5. Zero IT Friction & Driverless Deployment
Because the entire system runs on hardware-native protocols and agent-free connections (via SynRemote), users don't need administrator permissions or complex software installations just to share content, view streams, or host a hybrid call.
